I love working with local bay area brands and it is all the better if they are woman owned. For this feature I got to collaborate with the Oakland based clothing brand, Field Day. In 2005 Trinity (pictured below) started converting old sheets into stylish dresses. They were so popular that she started Field Day and has since expanded to a brick and mortar, Field Day & Friends, featuring her own designs and other local products. Spring is bringing some exciting changes to Field Day. Their clothing will soon accommodate more women with the addition of their Queen Size (3x-4x). My favorite dress in their spring collection is the nervine wrap dress (the green dress pictured above). The pattern depicts herbs that are good for your nervous system and will be sold with a nervous system tincture.
Their new line will be released this spring equinox, March 20th, so keep an eye on their website.
