Sustainable Body Care

As the cold winter weather moves in and the air gets dryer my skin always needs a little extra love. Here are a couple of my favorite sustainable body products that get me through the changing seasons. Hoppin' Fresh Deodorant by Ursa Major: Natural deodorant is always a gamble...but this one keeps away the odor away even after a long bike ride; you can commute and show up smelling fresh. Made with natural ingredients and no aluminum, it's a little pricey but will last about 4 months.

Rose + Tea Facial Toner by Florapothecarie: Rosewater, green tea, aloe and witch hazel make this refreshing toner a perfect way to start your day. The light mist will wake you up and calm your skin.

Mind & Body Wash by Bathing Culture: This biodegradable all-purpose soap is always in my shower. The scent leaves you energized and smelling like cathedral grove on Mt Tamalpais.

Face Oil by Lost + Found: This new essential oil based skin care brand is launching in early 2018. A combination of nine healing oils and a sun soaked quartz crystal for a little extra mojo this oil has become part of my nightly routine. Just a couple drops moisturizes and soothes your entire face. Follow them on instagram to find out the official launch date.

Oi Shampoo by Davines: Finding quality sustainable hair care was a difficult process of trial and error, so I was thrilled when my hairstylist mentioned Davines. This shampoo leaves your hair feeling silky without using a laundry list of synthetic ingredients. The company also hosts multiple sustainability programs including Sustainable Beauty Day, a day of salon services whose proceeds are donated to socio-environmental projects.
